For those who prefer Christian schooling for their children, Sanborn Christian School offers high-quality education for community residents and beyond in Kindergarten through eight grade.

The Christian Reformed Church and the Cornerstone Orthodox Reformed Church support the school.  School officials stress that the school is not a church school, but a school for Christian education.  With an emphasis on scripture-based instruction, teachers provide a well-rounded education in tune to the religious commitment of its society members.

Anthony Minderhoud has served as the principal since 2008.

A strong commitment to “educating under God’s Word for serving God in his world” has kept the school vital over the years since it was founded in 1917.

Eight full-time and four part-time teachers instruct the classes of Sanborn Christian School.  The 2012-2013 school year enrollment was 96.

Parents of students, community residents and members of the supporting churches provide a financial foundation for the school by raising funds through several events year round.  Tuition is based on a sliding scale, according to how many students from each family attend the school at one time.  The cost is based on 65 percent of the cost of education.  Contributions to the school are tax deductible.
